Gary Keller's daughter, Kim Harrup made this statement to the radio station when he ran as an Independent in 2006 for Rock County Sheriff. It still stands today.

"Though he may not be your typical politician, Gary Keller, my dad, is a man of his word. He is the kind of man that believes in God, family and the Constitution. He is a patriot, not a politician. The kind of person that proudly waves Old Glory in his front yard and takes his hat off when he hears the National Anthem. Though he may not have a college degree, he has graduated with honors from the college of life. Gary Keller is the kind of man that will work beside you until the job is complete, no matter how difficult the job. He is a candidate that will listen to your ideas and act on them. He is able to be an exceptional leader by delegating key people and allowing them to do their jobs. Take a moment to meet this man, look into his eyes and shake his hand. You will feel and see what makes this country so great. If you don't, then I truly feel sorry for you, because you really don't understand what it is to be an American and how lucky you are. It is time for the backbone of this country to stand up and represent what the majority of the people believe in.
